Swim to Survive - Tuesday

Our first Swim to Survive class is on Tuesday.  Please send your child with a swimsuit, towel and a plastic bag to place wet items in.  Thank you to parent volunteers helping out with supervision!  We leave for Goulbourn at 12:30pm and return to the school by 2:30pm. 

Thanksgiving Mass - October 5

Good Morning!

Our Thanksgiving Mass will be next Thursday, October 5 at 10:50 am.  Our grade 3 classes will be singing and reading at the Mass.  We ask that students wear white shirts and black pants/shorts/skirts on Thursday.  If your child is reading, they will bring home their text to practice on Monday.  You are more than welcome to attend.

University of Ottawa Student Teachers

We welcomed Mr. Bury and Mr. Winship to our classroom this month.  Mr. Bury is a second year student in the education program at the University of Ottawa and Mr. Winship is a year one student. The two will be with us on Wednesdays for most of the year.  They will each have a 6-8 week block of time where they will collaborate together and with me as well as teach a number of subjects to our grade 3 class.

The Kingdom Club is doing a Thanksgiving food drive to support the Kanata Food Cupboard!

Please make your donations starting on Monday, September the 25th to October the 5th.

If each student brings in 2 cans each we will have an estimated 1400 cans so please bring in any boxes, cans, and toiletries because that would be well appreciated!

Grade 3 Welcome!

It was great to meet so many families this evening!   

I am looking forward to a terrific school year.

It was so very nice to meet 20 new grade 3 faces yesterday!  I look forward to our year together.  I also look forward to seeing many families tomorrow evening.  Just a quick note that I will have to leave by 6:45 tomorrow however, I will be in my classroom from 5pm  until that time.  See you then!
