World Autism Awareness Day

World Autism Awareness Day is Monday, April 2.  Since we would like to to bring awareness to our students at St. Anne, we are going to change the date and recognize that day on Wednesday, April 4.  We will take the opportunity to discuss Autism and other exceptionalities.  Students are invited to wear blue in support of Autism awareness.

App Project

Our class, along with Ms. Juneau's grade 3 class has been collaborating with a grade 11/12 Technology class from Holy Trinity over the past month.  Students are creating artwork and curriculum based multiple choice questions that the high school students will program.  Our students have come up with some fun themes and company names to base their video games on.  Yesterday, the Holy Trinity students visited us to check our progress, collect some artwork and explain our next task.  We have our work cut out for us before they visit again in April!

Science - Strong and Stable Structures

We are looking for supplies for our Strong and Stable Structures unit.  If you have any of the following items at home, we would appreciate you sending them in:

- cardboard tubes (small, medium, and large)

- tissue paper

- newspaper

- straws

- popsicle sticks

- masking tape

     

Our school is having a BAKE SALE for students in grades 1-6!!!

All money raised goes to the Ryan’s Well Foundation.

Tickets for yummy treats can be purchased using cash online.

All items are a dollar and there is a maximum of two treats per person.

One Kilometer

We completed our walk on a beautiful and snowy Friday morning.  We had a trundle wheel to count each meter, a fitbit to count steps and a stop watch to time us.  It took us approximately 16 minutes to complete the distance and then we had time to play in the snow!
